Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing

EMDR involves recalling a traumatic or stressful memory while simultaneously engaging in activation of the prefrontal cortex of the brain, usually through a working memory task such as eye movements or hand taps. This activation is believed to help the brain process and desensitize the memory, reducing its emotional impact and incorporating new information into the experience to make sense of it.

EMDR therapy is highly flexible and can be used to address trauma, specific fears and phobias, performance enhancement as well as target other desired changes.

EMDR is structured and time-limited to help you get back to living your best life.

Cognitive Processing Therapy

Cognitive processing therapy (CPT) is an evidence-based psychotherapy designed to treat post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). It is based on the cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) framework, which emphasizes the role of thoughts and beliefs in shaping emotions and behaviors.

CPT involves a structured, time-limited series of sessions (typically 12-16) during which the patient and therapist work together to identify unhelpful beliefs and thoughts and process traumatic events, developing a new, more balanced and realistic perspective of traumatic events.
